The story begins in class. Misako feels her son’s persistent, sticky scrutiny from the back of the classroom. The inevitable fate takes her to the lockdown in a bathroom, where the scene freezes: there it is, the cruel objectivity of the Majime, exhibited with arrogance. Majime devours her, a relentless devouring and without remorse, claiming her body as her most precious property.

Misako’s plan? Seek harmony with her husband, her bed partner, to heal the cracks in her life. He tries to appeal to the parental-filial connection, to love… but even that strategy is interrupted.
