According to the report, the man who answers the name of Daisuke Kuroiwa, 49 years old, unemployed and without a fixed domicile, was arrested as a suspect in assaulting and having forced sexual relations with six women who were engaged in cosplay.

Once they agreed, he took the cosplayers in his car to filming places like the beach or a park, while doing the photo session he gave them plastic bottles of an unopened drink, and when he saw an opportunity he risked putting a sleeping pill on them. Then he told them that he would also take pictures in the car, to later attack them once they fell asleep.

Data obtained by the police revealed that from February 11, 2020 to July 3, 2021, Kuroiwa would have abused 6 cosplayers who were around ages unspecified between adolescents and twenty-year-olds in the prefectures of Saitama, , Chiba, , Kanagawa and Tokyo. It was not until the spring of last year that one of the victims made the complaint and the police were able to begin the investigation.
