Angewomon suffers from censorship in the video game Digimon New Century

Some time ago it was beginning to rumor about a possible censorship within the video game Digimon New Century Towards some characters that could be considered “provocative”. However, a Tweet Posted by the user @ulforce_soul I end up confirming what was feared, the design of Angewomon and Lotusmon have been censored.

Its launch has not yet been confirmed internationally and so far only its premiere in China has been scheduled for this coming October 13, 2021. This means that, as has already happened in several other franchises, censorship is imposed by the Chinese government and not of West.

It is worth mentioning that although censorship was applied in the different arts of the characters within the game, the official cover of the video game still presents Angewomon with its original design. Although it is most likely that it is an art made before the censorship and that will be replaced at the time of the official launch.
